Are you looking for former Service personnel to join your business? We are delighted that many outstanding candidates have come to us to help them find work after resettlement or going into second or third careers.
How it all began…
On leaving the British Army, Cliff wanted to create a better way for former service men and women to access second careers after resettlement. Pimento Connection was initially formed in a bar for friends and colleagues and the business has grown from strength to strength.
The name PIMENTO first was used in World War 2 in France by Cliff’s close friend and hero, Tony Brooks.
A fluent French speaker, Tony joined and operated as a member of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and, whilst still aged barely 20 years old, was twice parachuted into France to form and command a group of resistance fighters (code-named PIMENTO).
🌳Supporting Veterans & The Environment 🌳
We all have a responsibility to do good things for our environment. One we at Pimento Connection are proud to be championing throughout 2024, is planting more and more trees.
Pimento Connection has joined forces with Carma | B-Corp to plant UK native trees for our customers in 2024.
Carma is a Veteran-owned company, that engages Veterans in planting trees in the UK (in association with #TheGreenTaskForce), which offers nature-based PTSD therapy for Veterans.
The Green Task Force quotes ‘A staggering 6% of serving & former serving personnel, and 17% of those that have been in a combat situation are suffering from some form of PTSD. Service leavers also suffer a lot of stress & anxiety when transitioning from the service’.
🌳 The trees will be planted across three sites in the UK. There will be a variety of trees from silver birches, blackthorn, dogwood, wild cherry and pedunculate (English) oak. All with a lifespan of between 100-400 years.
🌳Pimento Connection is proudly supporting Veterans, Veteran-owned businesses and the environment.
