The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced UX Developer to support the evolution of five existing customer-facing, browser-accessible dashboards into a single, coherent product.

The project will focus on improving the user experience across the individual dashboards, optimising how they work together and developing a unified portal through which customers can access and interact with the interconnected dashboards.

Working alongside the existing team, you will help bridge the gap between individual dashboard functionality and a seamless, intuitive customer experience. This will involve a combination of UX design improvements, dashboard interoperability and the development of a consistent user interface.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the existing suite of five customer-facing dashboards and identify opportunities to improve usability, consistency and the overall user experience.
  • Design and implement UX improvements across individual dashboards, ensuring a consistent and intuitive experience.
  • Support interoperability between dashboards, enabling customers to move between them and interact with connected functionality more seamlessly.
  • Contribute to the design and development of a single portal or interface through which customers can access the wider product.
  • Develop and refine user journeys, navigation, information architecture and interface design.
  • Work collaboratively with the existing team to understand the current technical environment, user requirements and project objectives.
  • Recommend practical solutions that improve the customer experience while working within the constraints of the existing dashboards and technology.
  • Deliver agreed improvements within the available project days, prioritising the changes that will have the greatest impact.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in:

  • UX development and user-centred interface design for browser-based applications.
  • Improving the usability and consistency of existing digital products and dashboards.
  • Designing unified portals or interfaces that bring multiple applications or dashboards together.
  • Dashboard integration, interoperability and cross-application user journeys.
  • User interface (UI) design, navigation, information architecture and interaction design.
  • Translating user needs and business requirements into practical design and development solutions.
  • Working collaboratively with technical teams to deliver improvements within an existing product environment.
  • Experience working with complex, data-driven dashboards or enterprise web applications would be particularly relevant.
  • A candidate who can combine strong UX thinking with the practical technical ability to implement or support interface improvements would be well suited to this project.

Project Details

The initial requirement is estimated at approximately 20 working days, although the final scope and allocation will depend on the successful candidate’s capabilities and the agreed priorities.

The work is expected to be delivered flexibly across November 2026, December 2026 and January 2027, with a start as soon as possible.

This is a project-specific supplier engagement rather than a conventional employment or contractor appointment. Work will be commissioned against a defined project, with payment made against an approved purchase order (PO).

The day rate will be agreed according to the candidate’s experience and the skills they can bring to the project.
