Recruitment can be a funny industry sometimes. A role lands marked URGENT, profiles are turned around at lightning speed, everyone’s moving quickly… then suddenly, silence.

A week later we hear, ‘any feedback?’

Candidates sit refreshing their inbox wondering if their application has disappeared into the recruitment Bermuda Triangle. And Recruiters? Well, we still somehow carry this image of being relentlessly pushy, when in reality, most of us are just trying to keep communication moving between very busy people.

That’s the thing though – everyone has too much to do. Hiring Managers. Candidates. Internal Talent teams. Recruiters. Everyone’s juggling so much with not enough time.

But people remember professionalism.
They remember responsiveness.
They remember being treated properly.

Behind every LinkedIn message, CV, hiring brief or connection request is usually just another person trying to do a good job. A quick reply. Honest feedback. Closing the loop. These small actions matter more than you think.

People don’t forget how a process made them feel.  And that’s the point.

A quick reply can make all the difference.
