Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and physically robust Operations Assistant to join our team in Monmouth. This full-time position will involve supporting a wide range of operational tasks, including physical assistance with magazines, transportation, logistics and general office duties. The role will offer the opportunity to travel to various UK locations and engage in exciting projects related to the business and its activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute across a variety of operational areas, including assisting with ammunition classification and assembly, supporting the EXPEN team, and helping to expand our digital presence on social media platforms.
Details:
The role would suit a JNCO/SNCO with RLC, or similar tri service equivalent background. Ammo Tech experience is desirable but not essential providing the applicant can handle weapons and ammunition in a safe, competent and confident manner. The successful applicant will be required to
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Store and control firearms in accordance with safety security regulations
- Store and control ammunition in accordance with safety and security regulations
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials onto transport
- Drive company van to exhibitions and demonstrations (full UK driving licence required)
- Assist in assembly and disassembly of exhibition stands
- Be active on exhibition stands
- Answer questions and interact with customers
- Assist in the transportation of equipment to overseas customers
- Prepare loads for air and sea transport under supervision, training provided
- Assist the Operations Manager as required
- Perform reasonable tasks as directed by the Operations Manager
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Physical Robustness: Must be physically fit and able to handle manual tasks and physical work.
- Full UK Driving Licence: Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Ex-British Military: Preferably with prior service in the British Armed Forces, with practical experience of military operations.
- Knowledge of Infantry Systems & C-IED: Current knowledge of Infantry Systems and/or Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) procedures.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Dangerous Goods Notices (DGNs), ADR, UN packaging, and shipping processes.
Desirable Attributes:
- Social Media Competency: Experience or interest in social media management, including LinkedIn, YouTube or other platforms.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal communication skills are crucial, particularly for engaging with clients and stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Willingness to travel and participate in a range of activities, including exhibitions and international engagements.
- Veteran (Tri -Service)
- Full, Clean UK Driving licence

Additional Requirements:
- Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA): The successful candidate will be required to sign an NDA.
